The English and French Language courses, produced and licensed by Cognita, were an integral part of the Languages for Citizenship program, an initiative of UAITEC, Universidade Aberta e Integrada de Minas Gerais, of the State Secretariat for Science, Technology and Higher Education of Minas Gerais.
The program consisted in offering basic English, Spanish, French and Portuguese courses for the general population and university students, and pre-intermediate English, addressed to university students for the Science without Borders Program at Uaitec units. Ediomas participated with the Basic English and French courses that had more than 4 thousand students from 95 cities in the state, and from 10 state and federal universities in Minas Gerais.
