Reach

300 municipal agents

ZUP (Participative Urban Caretaker)* was initially implemented in the Conservation Secretariat of Rio's City Hall, and in the first year of work the focus was on consolidating the enforcement process.
The city already had an application for participatory management by the citizens, but did not have software that allowed the technical inspection of the problems reported by citizens and inspectors, the monitoring of their resolution, and the management of Big Data from municipal asset inventories to improve maintenance planning.
*ZUP is free software created by Tim Institute and developed by Cognita

Mega-events management

In the second phase of the Rio ZUP, the city has focused on adjusting the platform for mega-event management.

Thus the ZUP, now implemented in the Operations Center, will be a city management tool. With it, it will be possible to manage and act on the various occurrences that the city deals with on a daily basis, with the ease of being a mobile tool with almost instant access to what happens in the city 24 hours a day. With this, the Rio Operations Center becomes one of the largest concentrators of Big Data in the country and the world.

With the large source of data that will be received with the ZUP Rio tool, it will be possible to generate countless data in BI on the data collected not only with the ZUP Rio information but also cross-referencing information from other countless data inputs from the Rio Operations Center.

"This application represents the receipt, by a single tool, of more organized information about a certain occurrence. Through its use by operational agents, we will be able to obtain georeferenced information, which will give us greater clarity about what is happening and its exact location. It is an initiative that will enrich the COR's vision and contribute to our function of coordinating operational adjustments in major events. This work will minimize possible negative impacts of occurrences on the city's routine."
Pedro Junqueira, Chief Operations and Resilience Officer for Rio's City Hall
"Through this application, we were able to inventory and analyze the dynamism time of each occurrence in Rio de Janeiro. All of this forms a large database, through which we are able to scale and plan better and better, speeding up our response time. This is not an event application, but a tool created for the city's operation. It is an application at no cost to the city hall, which will have the citizen as its main client."

Scalable Digital Onboarding

The integration of new employees has always been important: contributing to talent retention, alignment with the vision and values of the organization, and increased productivity.
Today, in a context of market heating and increased turnover, onboarding is considered a priority and strategic, as an indicator of how quickly the company can compose and replace its team in order not to affect the operation; or to gain scale, taking advantage of business opportunities.
Cognita designs, implements and makes Onboarding Programs operational, integrating both the institutional and technical dimensions in a digital, scalable and customized journey, with adaptive sequences that change the path of new employees according to the area of the company they are joining and the role they will play there.
